Jim Boorujy is Fellowship Baptist Church’s Assistant Pastor.
Originally from Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Jim attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. While attending the Academy, Jim trusted Christ as Savior through the witness of Christian friends.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. He attained the rank of Captain and held three ship commands, command of a training center, and served in the Pentagon. Jim also was a nuclear power qualified officer and served several tours operating Navy nuclear power plants. During this time, he lived in many different locations throughout the United States, and also deployed overseas several times. He has been able to be a member in many different independent Baptist churches, serving in various lay ministries such as deacon, trustee, Sunday School teacher, Singles’ ministry leader, head usher, bus ministry, and lawn crew.
Upon transitioning out of the Navy, Jim and his family relocated to Watertown, Wisconsin to attend seminary. Jim holds a Master of Divinity from Maranatha Baptist University, a Master of Arts in foreign affairs from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
Pastor Boorujy and his wife, Alison, have seven young children.
