Pastor Boorujy

Dr. Jim Boorujy is Fellowship Baptist Church’s Assistant Pastor for Outreach and Discipleship.  He has served in this position since 2017. He does discipleship mentoring, leads outreach activities, oversees small groups, teaches in the Adult Bible Fellowship, and assists with property management. He is a graduate of Maranatha Baptist Seminary with both a Doctor of Ministry degree and a Master of Divinity degree.  He also holds a Master of Arts degree from the U.S. Naval War College and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Originally from New Jersey, Pastor Boorujy was a student at the U.S. Naval Academy when he trusted Christ as Savior through the witness of friends.  He went on to serve in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. He attained the rank of Captain and held three surface ship commands and command of a training center. He also served in the Pentagon and did several tours operating Navy nuclear power plants.  Jim has been a member of many different independent Baptist churches, allowing him to serve in a variety of lay ministries.  Upon transitioning out of the Navy, Jim and his family relocated to Watertown, Wisconsin.

Pastor Boorujy and his wife, Alison, have seven children.  Alison and the older children are involved in the music ministry at Fellowship.
