Genesis 1:1-5

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (KJV)

Colossians 1:16-17

16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (KJV)

Children’s Christmas Program

Christmas

The Fellowship children’s choir will present Christmas In My Heart on Sunday, December 18th at 6:00pm.

A fellowship will be held after the program – each family is invited to bring a plate of their favorite Christmas cookies.

Christmas Cantata

RichestFamilyInTownEdit

The Fellowship choir will present The Richest Family in Town on Sunday, December 11th at 10:30am.

This touching story about a single mother raising three children in 1949 stands in stark contrast to the materialism surrounding many modern-day Christmas celebrations. Though the drama is fictional, it is based on actual people from Frank Garlock’s childhood. He came from a poor family of nine children who sold their grandmother’s homemade fudge to help support the family. To reinforce the story, this program includes traditional Christmas songs as well as new compositions by Frank Garlock and Ron Hamilton.

Missions Month

world

Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. -Mark 16:15

Come join us for Missions Month 2011. This is a month that we at Fellowship Baptist Church set aside to focus our attention on the task of missions and reaching our world for Christ.   Here at Fellowship Baptist, we have the privilege to support twelve (12) missionaries and missionary related works. What an honor God has given us to be “fellow helpers” with those missionaries as His word goes forth to those who need Christ and as they seek to establish churches whose goal is to make disciples of Him.  Our prayer is that this month will challenge our commitment to grow as God burdens our hearts for the cause of Christ around the world.

Sunday, October 2 – Alex Wheeler, India

Wednesday, October 5 – John Hutcheson, Frontline Missions

Sunday, October 9 – John Ball, Uruguay

Sunday, October 16 – Tim & Alice Dysert, Spain

Sunday, October 23 – Jonathan Rehfeldt, Uruguay

Sunday, October 30 – Matt & Laura Gass, Tanzania

We will also be having our annual chili dinner after the service on Sunday, October 30th.

Staff Transitions

ChurchFrontSlider

The pulpit committee at Fellowship Baptist Church is diligently searching for our next pastor. Our former pastor, John Moore, completed his ministry at Fellowship on August 31, 2011 after 12 years of faithful and loving service. While we were sad to see him leave, it was God who led him to believe that a pastoral change would be best for the church. We trust his spiritual sensitivity and look forward to how God will grow our church in the future under different pastoral leadership. Pastor Moore is now seeking God’s will for where and how God will have him serve in the future.

Our youth director, Todd Bowditch, took the occasion of Pastor Moore’s resignation to make a transition in his ministry as well by stepping down from his position. He is actively completing his seminary training.

On behalf of the entire church, thank you for your service!
